About Us
Arbutus Technical Consulting closed for new business on 16th March 2015, when Bruce Elliott joined Altran UK.
Between, 2007 and 2015, we helped our customers engineer complex, highly-critical systems better by:
- Benchmarking and Consultancy
- We benchmarked systems delivery processes against best practice and recommended pragmatic, cost-effective improvements
- Process definition
- We took the fundamentals of good engineering practice, tailored them to work cost-effectively in customers' situations and wrote them up in high-quality, readable manuals
- Training
- We supported the roll-out of new working practices with tailored training courses to help staff understand not just what they had to do but why
- Trailblazing
- We worked with customers to ensure that pilot projects on which new working practices were introduced were successful and that we leart as much as possible from them
To do this we drew upon our technical knowledge of:
- Systems Engineering
- Systems Safety Engineering
- Software Engineering
Our domain knowledge was principally in:
- Rail
- Air Traffic Control
However, we specialised in carrying good practice from one sector to another and so did work in other sectors.
We drew upon extensive, international experience to offer a high-quality service but with a small-company's responsiveness and customer focus.
